Baseline Vehicle Testing has taken place.
This concerns an evaluation of the baseline vehicles according to the methodology defined earlier. A reference vehicle available on the market has been determined for each demonstrator. These baseline vehicles have been provided by the OEMs and tested according to the procedures specified. The purpose is to compare the initial data with the final results obtained from the demonstrator testing. The “baseline vehicle characterization tests” consist of:
- Engine: Steady state 50% BPTE: VOLVO, FPT and DAF; Transient state CO2 and pollutant emissions: VOLVO, FPT, DAF
- Vehicle/powertrain: Fuel consumption, CO2 and emissions for: Open road (FO, VOLVO, FPT, DAF, VDL, IRIZAR), Test track (FO, VOLVO, VDL), Chassis dyno (FPT, DAF) and Virtual assessment (VOLVO) and Exterior noise for FO.
